Undercover

As a fictional assignment I made this alternative artwork for the Beatles – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. All of the characters and items in this trippy world are references to people on the original cover.
For example the birdlike creature who has her hand in the pants of the other birdlike creature is a reference to one of the oneliners of May West: “Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?”. And the rabbit in the front (left) is a reference to Aleister Crowley. He was a member of a lot of occult organizations such as OTO (Ordo Templi Orientis). The eyes and mouth of the rabbit are formed out of the letters O, T, O.
